The Erasmus Buddynetwork is the heart of ESN, meant to be a helpful hand for foreign students going on Erasmus, free-mover or else.
Foreign students coming to Innsbruck may face more problems than just the language barrier, like finding rooms, the enrolment office, the international office, the computer labs, and the libraries. Other difficulties may be finding public transportation or medical care.
So what we do is to assign a national student, a Buddy, who wants to make international contacts to an incoming foreign student to help out during the first days and also provide a little bit of a social environment.
